Updated synopsis:
Immunity follows a gang of adolescent girls drifting through a dystopian, sun-soaked landscape, trapped under a charismatic, unseen force. Their witchy, transformative escape unfolds amid echoes of Charles Manson, embodied by late underground musician Jimi Riddle, and charged symbols of masculine energy. Created before the director’s coming out, the film carries a gendered prophetic undertone.

Thank you @fashionfilmfestivalchicago for recognising this film and honouring with the “Essence of Fashion”. award. It’s a lovely reminder that filmmaking is not about the size of the budget or the camera 🫶
It feels emotional after such a rollercoaster of years in creative and personal life - the two are inseparable.

I’ve always loved the quality and spirit of CFFF, and I’ve been screening with them since 2012, almost every year. So it truly is an honour to receive this ✨
